Refund Policy

The eligible return policy time period is 7 days after you initially receive your product, meaning once it arrives at your door you have 7 days to be eligible for your refund.

Please note that a restocking fee of 20% will be applied, in addition to the shipping fee in order to send us back the item. It is extremely important that you show us the proof of purchase while submitting your request. We send a confirmation email to everyone who places an order with Jap Essentials. If you do not receive an email within 24 hours of purchase you are responsible to contact us and we ensure to fix the problem. 

If the refund claim is accepted as it meets all our refund policy criteria we will give you directions via our email on how to send us back the product.

Below outlines the policies which must be followed to be accepted for a refund. 

  • Returns without proof of purchase will not be accepted.
  • If the products have been used, any bolting points have been fastened to a surface or if the products show signs of damage.
  • Any special orders specifically designed for your applications will not be accepted. 
  • We require proof of professional installation to consider claims of product defects as valid. Please ensure you provide the necessary documentation to support your claim.
  • Please be aware that while we take precautions such as wrapping our items in bubble wrap and cardboard boxes for shipping, there is still a possibility of freight damage caused by shipping companies. We cannot accept responsibility for any damage that occurs during transportation. We strongly advise buyers to consider purchasing freight insurance. If you would like to add freight insurance to your order, please contact us directly and we will help you organise this with your order.


Any exchanges the easiest way to go about this is by processing a refund claim and if eligible in accordance to our refund policy you will be refunded immediately which then you can place your order for the correct product. Understand that due to public holidays, weekends and depending on particular banks the refund time for you to get back your money may vary and we cannot give you an exact time period of how long it will take.
